I spoke to Greek water polo captain Ioannis Fountoulis to find out about his experience of carrying the Olympic flame to the historic Panathenaic Stadium in Athens before it was officially passed over to Paris 2024.

Throughout Paris 2024, Pride House served as a welcoming space for athletes of all sexual orientations and gender identities to share experiences and celebrate diversity. This piece explained how athletes could join a teammate or support their LGBTI+ friends in this special space.

With Paris 2024 taking place in the host city’s hottest months of the year, this piece had everything athletes needed to know on expected temperatures, the possibility of warm conditions, how heat affects performance and other potential challenges.

Taking place in a combination of existing world-class venues steeped in history and temporary sites created specially for the Games, Paris 2024 saw athletes compete in 41 stunning arenas across France.

Athlete365 House was there to help athletes feel at home throughout Paris 2024. It was a space they could get involved in rewarding activities, collect free gifts and take some time out on their own or with friends – as this piece explained.

The Athlete365 Mind Zone x Powerade was a first-of-its-kind space designed to help athletes relax, recharge and mentally prepare for competition through conversations with trained staff and mindfulness activities.

Athlete365 launched a #MentallyFit campaign to encourage its community to prioritise their wellbeing. The #MentallyFit landing page – featuring several stories written by myself – was redesigned in 2023. I wrote the text and updated each article within the campaign to ensure content remained as relevant and evergreen as possible.

Athlete365 Learning contains a wide collection of online courses designed to support elite athletes and entourage members. I was tasked with creating the text for the landing page of each course, outlining the syllabus and the key benefits, while encouraging the Athlete365 community to enrol. Sleep to Compete is one example.

With the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 having passed, the landing page text and content for that edition of the Winter Games needed to be updated. The aim was to create a timeless, retrospective page that would encourage readers to relive the most exciting moments and celebrate their peers’ achievements.

An official Olympic partner, Airbnb have several offers available to athletes, with these promoted on Athlete365. The Airbnb Athlete Travel Grant is one example, and this landing page needed to be redesigned to include the latest information and help athletes take advantage of the offer.
